Lu Caelum
Eorzea's Floral White Mage
Forgotten Princess of Lucis, now living her life in Eorzea with the Scions and her partners.

BACKSTORY
Younger sister to Noctis Lucis Caelum, Luciela "Lu" Caelum was often viewed as the polar opposite of her brother. In many ways, they are very similar. But in the same regard, they are just as different. Where Noctis refuses to even think about eating vegetables, Lu will happily eat her leafy greens. |
When Noctis was summoned to Eorzea to help against Garuda, Lu went with him. When all was said and done, however, she chose to ultimately stay behind in Eorzea. She felt she belonged more in this magical world, where her powers seemed to be at their strongest. The choice came at a cost, though: Everyone back home would forget of her very existence. But it was a sacrifice she was willing to make. With her choice made, her journey into Eorzea truly began. |
Eventually, Lu would find her way to the Dravanian Forelands, where she'd stumble upon Thancred. She tended to his wounds any time he would push himself too hard, and in turn he'd help teach her about Eorzea. Soon enough, he'd introduce her to the Scions, and their Warrior of Light, Hyacinthus Verlies. |
As time went on, she found herself being drawn towards him at every turn, spending time with him on every mission, volunteering to go with him if not just to be a capable healer at his side. Over time, the two grew to be near inseparable, something she didn't seem to mind. She'd happily teach him ways of being more open about his feelings and emotions, and in turn, he'd help teach her about the lands of Eorzea and ways to defend herself. |
Pre-Eorzea
Growing up, Lu was by all accounts a very happy child, never taking more than she needed and living life to the fullest. She was happiest as long as she had her brother around, which couldn't always happen due to their respective responsibilities, but they both made sure to make time for each other. |
When Noctis spent time with Lunafreya after his accident, Lu went with him, if at the very least to make sure he wasn't alone. It was because of this that allowed Lunafreya to take notice of Lu's innate ability for magic, much like herself, so she offered to tutor her as much as she could in the ways of magic, something Lu quickly agreed to. She hoped to be more helpful to her brother in the future, after all, so if she could personally tend to his wounds, she'd do anything to learn. |
Life wasn't always the greatest, though. Kids in school would tease Lu, calling her the "replacement royalty" and "lesser of two," but she never let the name calling stop her from giving it her all. |
When the time came for Noctis to set out on his journey to meet Lunafreya for their wedding, Lu originally wasn't supposed to go with him, having supposed to be staying for the meeting that was happening shortly after his departure. She'd managed to convince her father though to allow her to leave with her brother, stating she never was one for stuffy meetings anyway, and she always wanted to explore outside of Insomnia with friends. |

One thing I cannot easily show is after the events of Shadowbringer, specifically POST-SHB, Lu now has a permanent white streak in her hair, located around her face. Early on, she will try to hide it, but by the events of Post-EW, she will have come to fully embrace it and no longer hide it, and allow her partners the chance to braid it. |
Below is recent art I have gotten that shows how I envision her to now have the said white streak, which is the best way I have of showing it at this current time. (I'm still searching for ways in game.) |
Art was made by AUselessPinecone on Twitch! Please check him out! |

Hiya, I’m Lu! I’m your local nonbinary idiot who’s been playing wayyy too much FFXIV & FFXV recently. Any pronouns you'd like, but she/they are definitely my go-to! |
I’m 24, and 100% an idiot. I promise I'm nice, I may just come off as rude sometimes. It's not you, it's me! |
I do apologize in advance if I come off as rude/too pushy/too clingy. I tend to fail to read social cues. |
Please be aware that I do have ADHD & Autism, so I may tend to get overwhelmed/forget things easily, which may be reflected in my writing. For this, I greatly apologize! |
Never be afraid to message me if I say or do something that upsets or offends you! I wanna make this a safe space for everyone! So please, LET ME KNOW! I'm willing to work on my mistakes and make them right. I can't fix things if I don't know about them! |

Eos's Battle Princess
After Garuda had been defeated, and the Regalia was returned to Noctis, Lu chose to return home with her brother, even as she felt the pull of powerful aether wishing for her to stay. |
Upon returning to Eos, she would, like her brother, forget the events that transpired in Eorzea, instead moving on with her life in Eos, and once more supporting her brother and the crew by being their healer. |
When Noctis disappeared into the crystal for ten years, Lu took it upon herself to become a leader for people to look up to, praying that her efforts would not be in vain for the day her brother returned. Often running off on missions to resupply Lestallum, or protect settlements to the best of her abilities, becoming known as the Battle Princess amongst survivors. |
(Still kinda a work in progress, so I apologize for it being so empty.) |
And thus... the princess died that day.
After her defeat, and almost death, at the hands of Zenos in Rhalgr's Reach, Lu started to question just how useful she truly was. Her healing magics were almost all lost to her now, Zenos's blade having done more than just physical damage to her body. |
Disappointed in herself, and her failure to be able to keep those she loved safe, she turned to training herself in the ways of a Dark Knight, a fighting style not too unlike the one she had been taught by Gladio. Using what little magic she had left, she turned her once beautiful blossoms meant for healing into ones filled with vines, aimed to injure and maim. |
Slowly, as time went on, she could feel her sanity slipping away from her, and this did not go unnoticed by her friends, who would note her outbursts and almost eagerness to fight as a complete 180 from the girl she used to be. But she chose to ignore these concerns, pushing forwards anyway, driving herself more and more towards the edge. |
Her final breaking point came in the form of the death of the Warrior of Light, consumed by all of the Light he had been asked to carry. Her mind ultimately fractured then, refusing to believe the man she loved was now gone. When Elidibus, now controlling the Warrior's body, came to her, seeking an alliance, she swiftly agreed, her fractured mind unable to see that this was no longer the man she loved. |

Dominant of Garuda
The newest Dominant of the Eikon of Winds, chosen shortly after Benedikta Harman's demise. |
Prior to being chosen as the newest Dominant, Lu Caelum lived a life evading capture, always on the run from those who would wish to brand her. |
At the age of 13, she was found by Erebos Moros, who offered her safety with himself and his sister, both of which were Dominants of Eikons she had never heard of before. Rather quickly, she grew close to Erebos, who soon adopted the young girl as his child. |
At the age of 16, she was chosen to become Garuda's next Dominant, a role that terrified her at first, and only through her adoptive father's comforting words did she come to embrace her newfound powers. |
Now, at the age of 21, Lu works hard to support those in need, but she is overtly cautious in doing so. Every move she makes is calculated, wary of those around her. Constantly afraid of allowing herself close to anyone out of the fear that she may one day lose them, she chooses instead to put on a cold demeanor, and keeps anyone whom she isn't close with at an arm's length. |
